The 17th of April 2010, saw a group of like minded individuals gather together at The Ace Cafe – London, to form the first official OutlawJapClub.com meet.

A total of 36 cars, with many more members from all over the UK arrived in their vehicles, and packed out the Ace Cafe car parking area.

In my opinion, this has got to be one of the largest turn-outs for the first official meet held at Ace Cafe, for a club that only began building its membership foundation less than a year ago.

The Grasshopper Inn

Today was the first Sunday of the month, and as per regular clockwork, a group of us japanese car enthusiasts gathered at The Grasshopper Inn, in Surrey for a late morning, early afternoon get together and a bite to eat for lunch.

Here are a few images I captured on a visit to Whipsnade Zoo, in the middle of August 2008.

Bangalore, India

I recently ventured across to Bangalore in India on a business trip. An 11 hour direct flight from Heathrow, London to Bengalaru International Airport landing in the early hours of the morning to be confronted by thick Smog. Not being able to see further than 25ft ahead, driving to the hotel can only be described as risky. Temperatures in January through to the first half of February saw nothing fall below 20C, and the daily temperature was steadily averaging 28C-32C. Below are a selection of the few images I was able to capture during my time there.

Dinorwig Powerstation

Yesterday evening, I spent the night in Dinorwig, Llanberis. I was there for a meeting at Dinorwig Powerstation, during the day.

Dinorwig Powerstation produce electricity by means of moving water.
They are a hydroelectric powerstation, converting the kinetic energy from falling water, into electrical energy, which is then sold onto the National Grid, to provide electricity to the local area. Water is pumped from a lake at ground level, to a lake in a basin at the top of the mountain. It is then allowed to flow down again (on demand) turning magnetic turbines on it’s way to the ground.

Temperature on the drive through Wales, the night before, was fluctuating between -7°C and -4°C, though it settled on +2°C through the day today.

I thought the views were fantastic and took some shots of the ground level lake and surrounding area, while I was there.

I’ll be visiting the area again in the next few weeks, so I’ll be sure to get some shots of Electric Mountain and Snowdonia while i’m there.
